Slaves to a Discordant System EP (2014)
"To eviscerate is to rip something apart, that's what I think this music does". Heath Smith, when asked where he got the name from.
Already being heralded by many in the local heavy music scene as "the Albury metal supergroup" before even playing a show, this group of heavy music enthusiasts comprises members of some of Albury/Wodonga's best known and most respected hard rock and heavy bands.
Eviscerator was formed in the later part of 2012 following Heaths departure from Netherealm. Wanting to continue making heavy, abrasive, intense and unrelenting music, he found a kindred spirit in Sam Hill, formerly of Demonic Tempest and Psytonal. The two wrote religiously for months before getting together with Alex Barsby, former drummer of Demonic Tempest and Heathen Ritual. When the trio felt ready, they contacted vocalist Ben Quin, former Netherealm vocalist. This early incarnation jammed together for two months before Alex's family priorities forced him to leave the group. Tim Cover, former drummer of Master Tang was contacted immediately. He was an instant fit. More rehearsing ensued over the next few months while the search for a bass player started and intensified. There were a few prospects and auditions until the band were approached by Matt Simpson, former bassist for Concealed Aggression. Matt impressed everyone with how quickly he picked up the songs and how easily he got along with everyone.
With an ever growing repertoire of songs, an unsatisfied hunger for brutality and a drive to dominate the local and interstate live music scene, there is something that overshadows all this; Eviscerator are here.
