The release date of “S*x Sells”, the new album by AIRSTRIKE, is approaching in leaps and bounds. On September 20th, 2024, the time has come. But first, the likeable Hessians are presenting us with their new video “Rollercoaster”.
The band describes the song: “Rollercoaster” is the next, but quite groovy track. It has more of a 70s vibe. It came about in a rather unexpected and intense way. Julio was angry about something and was already typing lyrics into his phone while Michi casually played a riff on the guitar. Julio, still angry, suggested expanding the riff with another, unconventional sequence. After a few attempts, Michi hit exactly what Julio had in mind. And then it happened. The whole band immediately found the right vibe, as if the song had always existed and was just waiting for us to play it. Julio, channeling his anger, started singing and came up with the chorus “Rollercoaster,” which perfectly captures the crazy ups and downs of relationships. Within 5-10 minutes, the core of the song was born. Of course, a few more details were added later, but the magic of that moment makes the track what it is today.
