Perth-based rock band IMPERATORE celebrated Christmas their own way by releasing the band’s second album, “Nations, Rise!” right on December 25, 2024. The follow-up to their self-titled debut release continues to build on the band’s signature blend of heavy rock, progressive and operatic influences.
IMPERATORE band was founded in mid-2022 by Zoran Cunjack, and it set out to showcase its sound with its debut single “IMPERATORE,” released in March 2023. The band released a full-length self-titled album on the 14th of April 2023 with outstanding reviews for its uniqueness and received offers to be signed by a few record labels. IMPERATORE track itself was nominated for the “Song of the Year” by West Australian Music (WAM).
The band’s most recent offering, “Nations, Rise!” treats listeners to a collection of eight tracks, each providing a distinct insight into the band’s diverse influences and sonic palette while retaining a very cohesive sound. The album, with a running time of just under 40 minutes, is an ambitious and multifaceted project that highlights the group’s diverse background. Described as emotionally charged, the record brings together powerful lyrical themes and immersive instrumentation with a heavy, yet detailed tone.
IMPERATORE’s line-up includes Sean Allsopp (drums), Daniel Marijanovic (bass), and Zoran Cunjack (guitar/vocals), with guest appearances by Leon Todd (lead guitar). The project feels quite one-of-kind while staying rooted in the classic elements of heavy and progressive rock, giving their music a fresh twist. IMPERATORE’s music carries a strong emotional core and this new studio work is a perfect example of this, as the music and background concepts dovetail beautifully. On the 18th of February, IMPERATORE published their first video of the 2nd Album, “Gods Of Machines” on YouTube.
The album “Nations, Rise!” is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major platforms.
