Symphonic Death Metal maestros return to Australia for the first time in over four years this March thanks to Overdrive Touring, stronger than ever with a revitalised line-up and touring off the back of their latest EP, No, and accompanied by special guests from Finland, the Melodic Death Metal sensation Wolfheart.
Fleshgod Apocalypse have been changing the face of Death Metal since their formation in 2007, creating a bountiful sonicscape characterised by beautiful orchestration, virtuosic technical prowess,
and bombastic brutality.
With the addition of new guitarist Fabio Bartoletti, fans can expect plenty of neoclassical wizardry; while soprano Veronica Bordacchini joins Francesco Paoli in weaving Fleshgod Apocalypse’s uniquely majestic vocal tapestry. The new line-up is rounded out by powerhouse drummer Eugene Ryabchenko joining longstanding members Paolo Rossi on bass and Francesco Ferrini on keys.
Joining Fleshgod Apocalypse on this full Australian run, Wolfheart are one of the absolute forerunners of Finnish Melodic Death Metal. Wolfheart land on Australian shores for the very first time with a six-album strong back catalogue to share with clamouring long-time fans and newcomers alike. Their latest release, 2022’s King of the North, showcases Wolfheart’s most versatile approach to date, with a stronger focus on clean vocals and melodic elements.
Nevertheless, Wolfheart founder and mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen and the rest of his wolfpack will doubtless bring their full, blistering Melodeath power on this full run Down Under.
Overdrive Touring are especially proud to announce that Fleshgod Apocalypse will be returning to Perth for the first time since their first Australian tour a decade ago.
The west will be first in the firing line of this tour, so be sure to give the Italian invaders and their Finnish compatriots a warm welcome!
