The Dillinger Escape Plan

After an eight-year hiatus, The Dillinger Escape Plan made their long-awaited return to the stage last night at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, delivering a set that reminded fans exactly why they’re considered one of the most ferocious live acts in heavy music. From the opening moments, the band unleashed their trademark blend of technical precision and unrelenting chaos, proving they haven’t lost a step.

The pit ignited instantly as Dillinger tore through fan favourites with surgical aggression, each track hitting like a controlled detonation. Frontman Greg Puciato commanded the stage with raw intensity, while Ben Weinman’s acrobatics and guitar work remained as unhinged and jaw-dropping as ever. The chemistry between the band members, even after years apart, was palpable.

Opening duties fell to Ho99o9, who wasted no time in detonating the room with their industrial-laced hardcore hip-hop. Blurring genres and battering eardrums, their set was an eruption of anarchic energy that perfectly primed the crowd for what was to come.

This wasn’t just a reunion, it was a full-force resurrection. If last night was any indication, The Dillinger Escape Plan are back with something to prove, and absolutely no one is safe.
