Kiss may be over, but Ace Frehley is still active as a musician and has released his 7th solo album “10,000 Volts”.
’Spaceman’ starts this record with ’10,000 Volts’. This is a perfect example of a true Rock and Roll single.
’Walking On The Moon’ has a funny solo, in a good way. The best thing is that you can hear this guitarist’s passion for his music.
’Cosmic Heart’ has a cheeky rhythm and tempo. This party is getting started, so buckle up to this thrilling spin.
Captivating is ’Cherry Medicine’. Drums are driven with precision and are a perfect guide for this musician who is now 72 years.
’Back Into My Hands’ is a ballad that has to touch every fan’s heart. Ace plays with all his emotions and his half-a-century experience.
A great song is ’Fighting For Life’. The ex-Kiss flows with his creativity delivering a fast and entertaining track.
’Blind’ follows the same spirit as ’Fighting For Life’. This reminds and resembles his work during the Kiss era, like in any time Paul Stanley or Gene Simmons could do a cameo appearance.
’Constantly Cute’ could be the laziest or the most generic song of the album, but it is as catchy as the others.
A slow track is ’Life Of A Stranger’. It is an excellent job done by Ace that he can set up many moods. In this case, a chilly vibe.
’Up in the Sky’ is a very exciting one. When ’Spaceman’ performs this song it immediately rejuvenates the guitarist.
’Stratosphere’ is a satisfying closure to this album. The epic duo of acoustic and electric guitar will mesmerise everyone.
Ace Frehley needs no introduction and has nothing to prove. Despite his age, ’Spaceman’ pulled off one of the greatest Rock and Roll albums of the year. This is an ideal moment to reconnect with the ex-Kiss guitarist.
