ARTILLERY - Raw Live

Artillery has kindly shared with the Thrash Metal maniacs the album “Raw live (at Copenhell)”. What a way to start a concert. ’Devil’s Symphony’ is a perfect warm-up for both the fans and the band. Harsh voice announces ’By Inheritance’. You can feel the ’mosh pit’ is strong in this one, as it was in 1990, the year that this song and album were released. ’Turn Up The Rage’ is a new song and was released in 2021. It does not matter how old is the song when it comes to pumping up the crowd. ’The Face Of Fear’ is another ’in your face’ banger. The ’hey hey hey’ from the crowd is a sign that they are involved with the band. The chill guitar intro has ’Bomb Food’ that gives a moment of breath to the audience but be prepared because this one is getting slowly thrashier and faster. There is a peak in all concerts, and it might be ’The Challenge’. Drums are ferocious and non-stop. No way in hell these guys from Denmark are going to slow down. ’In Thrash, We Trust’ is just pure passion and adrenalin. ’10.000 Devils’ and ’Legions’ are delivered with the same violence. Both are powerful and brutal punches to the gut. ’Khomaniac’ has all the elements that a Thrash Metal maniac would love. It is melodic and plus the interaction with the fans is awesome. Only 55 minutes of Artillery is not enough. Sadly, ’Terror Squad’ is the last. They may have not saved the best for the end, but this final ride would be one to remember.

For the ones that have not gone to Copenhell, “Raw live (at Copenhell)” is only a glimpse of the hell that is unleashed every year in Denmark. This is just a taste of a veteran and beloved band called Artillery.
