After three released singles, two major music video productions and many more videos, Germany’s hottest Metalcore newcomer TORRENTIAL RAIN looks back on the productive year 2020. Over 250.000 streams by more than 12.000 monthly listeners from over 81 countries around the world. Featured in prestigious playlists and reviewed by countless webzines, blogs and radio stations. One would think they’d take a breather over the holidays. Definitely not! The four boys from Nürnberg decided to end this year with a bang called LEFT OUTSIDE. Available now on all streaming services in combination with a music video you can watch on YouTube and IGTV.
Chris, Domi, Dario and Gordy share their thoughts about the song’s lyrics: “We tried to connect this song with the previously released DEAF EARS and STRUNG OUT and the themes within them. The breakup which the song revolves around is the initial cause for the feeling of being alone. The listener is put in perspective of someone who is just lying to themselves slowly coming to terms with reality and facing the truth. The person is now looking back on memories they deeply regret but cannot let go of. The downward spiral begins.”
While writing the song we really focused on modern musical elements to present the well-known Metalcore/Djent sound in a new look: Trap Beats, Breakdowns, Orchestra, Synthesizers, Pianos and Choir sounds all join in to create a stunning musical finale for 2020.
To top it all off we once again teamed up with Christian Brauner (CB Fotographie), Michael Dorner (Light Design), the actress Hannelore Best as well as Christoph Messer to create a vibrant music video that captures the dramatic essence of the song in a dance of colours. For the artwork as well as the mixing and mastering we once again joined forces with AZRAEL DESIGNS and SAWDUST RECORDINGS.
