Curtain up for a new insider tip from Austria. The high-flyers from VOLTWECHSEL are releasing their debut album “Free And Yet Caught” on March 24th, 2023.
Today the new single “My Old Self” has been released alongside a video produced by Marco Pessl (MP Pictures). The band says of the track: “Do you know that feeling when someone you care about plays games with you and stalls you so that you become an asshole and build a protective shield around you?”
VOLTWECHSEL formed in spring 2021 with the band quickly finding their style and headng to the studio in the same year to produce the first single “Born to be”, a song that is characterized by its uncompromising and energetic character. The song was announced as a winner of the Red-White-Red rock song of the week on 88.6, Austria’s largest rock radio station, giving the track permanent airplay there. It was broadcast on TV in Austria and received the “Stage Talent of the Week” award in Germany before the band hit the road on tour.
Now the next chapter is being opened. On March 24th, 2023, the debut album “Frei und haben haben” (“Free And Yet Caught”) will be released, on which VOLTWECHSEL present an extremely exciting mixture of grunge and German-language heavy rock.
