The level of support demonstrated from the Sydney metal community over the last 24 hours has been overwhelming.
With news that Our Last Enemy could no longer open for Avatar in Sydney on Saturday due to a broken arm, a desperate cry went out out to find a band to take their place.
Social media lit up, with hundreds of comments from fans suggesting suitable acts.
One stood out above the rest.
Western Sydney four piece Pyrefly have been chosen.
The band commented, “We are so grateful for a chance to be a part of this amazing show. As long time fans of Avatar and proud members of the Sydney music scene, we want to thank everyone for helping us play next to these heavy metal legends”
