Brisbane metalcore outfit Revoid release their foreboding new single Burn With Me ahead of live dates supporting metalcore stars Dayseeker (US) and an AM//PM Emo Night show with Stepson.

Armed with livid intensity, and rife with emotional charge, magnetic vocals, and catastrophic breakdowns, Burn With Me is the group’s heaviest single to date. Featuring catchy choruses and vibrant synth accompaniments to juxtapose the heaviness of the underlying instrumentation driving the song, the track beautifully straddles the dark and light elements of metalcore.

Frontman Dale Dudeson delves deep into the cycle of narcissistic abuse and the pervasive self-sacrifice, frustration and hopelessness that comes with it. “Burn With Me illustrates the strain, tension, and crushing frustration in the way we are constantly forced to make sacrifices for the people we love, and the breaking point we’re pushed to when we can’t give anymore,” tells Dudeson. “Burn With Me is the personification of the disappointment I have in those who I have given everything for, only to have them to bury me like a bad dream.”

Engineered and mixed by Mark Williamson at Keywork Audio (Inertia, Broken Earth) and mastered by Kris Crummett (All Time Low, Sleeping With Sirens), Burn With Me further highlights the groups affinity for high quality production and emotive songwriting.

The accompanying visuals, courtesy of Colin Jeffs of Ten of Swords Media, further hone in on the message, where the subject is pictured destroying and setting a car alight as a metaphor for self-immolation in a dysfunctional power dynamic. Watch the video below.
