Days Like These share playful new single “PRIMADONNA”

Days Like These

Brisbane alt-rock sweethearts Days Like These return off the back of their recently released EP, ICON, with the brand new, electro-charged single, PRIMADONNA.

The arena-ready anthem pulls together an eclectic array of sounds to form a fast-paced, hook-laden rock song that muses on the beauty of life and human connection. “PRIMADONNA is our positive outlook on life,” shares frontman Callen Batson.

“Noah and I wanted to write about being in love with what life can offer you. Specifically the idea of being a light, a support and a beacon of love to yourself and other people. We wrapped the message up in glamour and tongue-in-cheek, which we did a fair bit of on ‘ICON’, something that I think DLT prides itself on now.”

Mixed, mastered and produced with long time collaborator Chris Lalic (Windwaker, The Last Martyr), PRIMADONNA also comes with a music video ripe with charm and confidence, seeing the band perform their energetic new tune between frames of riotous nocturnal antics. Watch here!

Days Like These made their return earlier this year with their glitzy sophomore EP ‘ICON‘. Revisiting their alt rock roots, ‘ICON’ combines driving rock foundations with splashes of glowing alternative charisma, forming the bridge between where the duo left off with their 2021 EP, Wide Awake and where they see themselves moving forward.

Their sophomore EP raked in over 150,000 Spotify streams and counting and saw the duo travel around the country main supporting Against The Current (US) in late September. The EP featured singles ICON, Oblivion ft. Death Tour and Bloodshed. Each single was welcomed warmly by triple j with spins on multiple programs, and both Oblivion and Bloodshed found placement on ABC Rage, with Oblivion making it as feature video for a week in April. Bloodshed was also played on Channel 7 Friday Night AFL on release day.

Days Like These is Callen Batson (vocals) and Noah Murphy (drums/vocals). The band burst onto the scene in 2018 and have worked tirelessly to become one of Brisbane’s most exciting up and coming alt rock acts. After the release of their debut EP ‘Wide Awake’ in May of 2021, the duo soared and became a staple in the scene, supporting sold out shows with the likes of Black Veil Brides, Northlane and Polaris before quickly selling out their own EP launch show and embarking on three national tours last year.

PRIMADONNA is available and streaming everywhere now.
