In the spirit of embracing community and proving to themselves and perhaps those that may not have suspected it, that they can indeed write “pop” singles, DEAD have teamed up with some of their favourite extreme acts from across the globe to contribute to their forthcoming album Burn Us Clean, out March 8th through the band’s own label We Empty Rooms .
Along with the 9 original A-Side tracks on Burn Us Clean, DEAD have spotlighted a cohort of acts encountered on their career journey to record B-sides for the project. The result is a thrilling collection of material that represents some of the finest operators in the extreme music world.
DEAD, featuring Jem on drums/vocals and Jace guitar/vocals, challenge the regular with their forward thinking take on dense sludge-laden metal, they explore the outer boundaries of genre and fearlessly embrace outlier elements, though always filtered through the band’s signature heavy as hell aesthetic. Each 7” is released in an edition of 150 with sleeves hand printed the band. A box set version featuring all nine singles in an edition of 50 has already sold out. DEAD will release a second, more modest box set for those who missed out. All singles will be available in digital format.
