The release of “Infinitum” on May 19th, 2023, is a significant milestone for Amenta, who had previously gone on hiatus and eventually split up after releasing their early songs “Pandore” and
“Acrimony”. The band’s history, paired with their unique sound, makes “Infinitum” a highly anticipated release in the Egyptian Alternative Metal genre.
The writing process for “Infinitum” began when the band’s lead singer Seif Gaber approached founding members Ismail Morsy (rhythm guitar) and Youssef Fahmy (bass) about reviving the band. Shortly after, lead guitarist Konstantin Schäffer and drummer Mostafa Badri joined to complete the new line-up. With the new line-up came new musical influences, which redirected the band towards a new alternative sound.
“Infinitum” showcases the band’s growth and evolution, moving away from their original approach that incorporated Middle Eastern influences into Metal music. The song was written collaboratively, with each member bringing their unique musical ideas to the table.
