Brazilian Melodic Death Metal band, Erudica, has just released their powerful new single “Echoes Of Desolation” across all digital platforms. Following the impactful debut of their single and video “Gaia,” the band returns with an even fiercer and more potent sound.
Formed in 2020 by the captivating vocalist Caroline Ferreira and the talented guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Patrik Correa, Erudica dives deep into classic Melodic Death/Thrash Metal, drawing strong influences from renowned acts like Arch Enemy and The Agonist. In “Echoes Of Desolation,” the duo departs from the operatic and symphonic elements present in their earlier single, opting instead for a more aggressive, riff-heavy approach that remains both melodic and powerful.

The single showcases Caroline Ferreira’s exceptional vocal range as she channels intense fury through her commanding growls, delivering a poignant message about the destructive consequences of human greed. “Greed! We reap what we sow, in this case, our total destruction and annihilation by our own actions,” Ferreira reflects.
Erudica’s lyrics explore the terrifying consequences of human greed and the relentless struggle against the dehumanizing forces of systemic oppression. Each song is a visceral narrative, powerfully blending fury and hope, striking deep chords with listeners.
