Fall and Resist release new EP “Darkness of Now”

Fall And Resist

Fall and Resist have just dropped their next offering, an EP entitled Darkness of Now. With a mesh of metalcore, melodeath, thrash, and progressive metal, the four-piece is looking to push its boundaries just that little bit further. Drawing from bands such as Dark Tranquillity, August Burns Red, and The Black Dahlia Murder, the band have retained its melodic yet aggressive roots. “It’s more accomplished than we’ve done before. Sadder than are sad stuff and more aggressive than our aggressive stuff. I cannot wait to play this EP live” said vocalist and frontman Liam “Frosty” Frost-Camilleri.

A film clip for the track Creators of Our Own Demise was released on the 22nd of July to a positive response. To engage fans, the band started a 3-word review competition that saw fans calling the single “flawless”, “heavy”, “dark” and “balanced” amongst other things. The EP features 4 tracks that showcase the ability of the band, everything from blast beats to orchestral sections. One track, As It All Starts To Fray, even features some clean singing, “Chris from Monolith Studios had a big hand in that decision, I wasn’t sure how well it was going to fit, but he made it work so well and we’re so happy with it”, Frosty said.

The band has already been booked for a number of Victorian shows and local festivals, but is hoping to get out to other Australian fans in the coming months. “We’ve been to other cities in Australia before and it would be good to go again to plug this release”, Frosty said.
