Adelaide alternative metal quartet Heartline share their vivacious new single Lovers, launching live in Adelaide tonight for the first show on the Banks Arcade‘s Death 2 // A Muse Australian Tour!
Thematically encouraging a break from the monotonous day-to-day, Lovers fights a cause to find the beauty in the little things and live with intention. “The daily routine can so ruthlessly take away the colour in our lives,” shares the band.
“It’s so easy to fall into: wake up, go work a job that doesn’t fulfil or inspire us, go home, sleep and repeat. But when we can break through with our mind’s eye and see all that makes life beautiful and something to be cherished; when we start living with the intention to love – the little things and the big, we find a new direction that is our own – and become a Lover.”
Co-written by the band and Ethan McCann (Thornhill) with production from Sam Trott (Rogue Half) and a mix and master by Nick Sjogren (Thornhill), the track sonically echos the theme exploring the juxtaposition of monotony against unpredictability, taking listeners on a journey from the opening motif through churning riffage, soaring moments, a thoughtful interlude that defies expectation and into a triumphant outro that draws the tune to a satisfying close.
The single will see its live debut on Banks Arcade’s Death 2 // A Muse Australian Tour with Earth Caller and Closure. Heartline will play Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide tonight and Max Watts in Melbourne tomorrow, with Crowbar Sydney and The Zoo Brisbane up next over the weekend. The band have also announced they’ll play main support to Windwaker on a string of intimate shows in Belgrave, Melbourne and Wagga Wagga in June. Tickets to both tours on sale now!
Heartline is Luke Taylor, Nevenko Sarunic, George Carey and Michael Cooper. Since their debut in 2019, Heartline have continuously shown themselves as an exciting and promising act to watch in the Australian alternative music scene. Popular releases Delorean and the two-track drop ‘Somewhere Else [I]’ established a sound that seamlessly combined hard-hitting and complex grooves with soaring melodies and irresistible dance elements, with Delorean landing the band a coveted cover spot on Spotify’s Homegrown & Heavy playlist.
Pairing their fresh sound with a relentless, energetic and captivating live performance, the four-piece have earned a place performing alongside artists to the likes of The Word Alive (US), Holding Absence (UK), Crossfaith (JPN), Paledusk (JPN), Thornhill, Windwaker and more and secured a tour with Dance Gavin Dance (US) late 2023, winning over thousands across Australia.
With their following rapidly growing, Heartline level up with each new release. Lovers is available and streaming everywhere now.
