Heavensgate return with fierce new single “Violent Joy”

Heavensgate

Melbourne metal outfit HEAVENSGATE share new single VIOLENT JOY ahead of their sold out headline show this weekend in Melbourne. VIOLENT JOY is out now via Greyscale Records in partnership with 1126 Records.

Listeners who resonated with the band’s debut EP, ‘AND ALL I LOVED, I LOVED ALONE’ , will discover similar musical themes on VIOLENT JOY heightened by a progression of the band’s sound. The new single once again impressively boasts drum production from metal mastermind Erik Bickerstaffe (Loathe) and mix and mastering by Buster Odeholm of Odeholm Audio (Humanity’s Last Breath, Vildhjarta, Sworn In).

VIOLENT JOY debuted on triple j’s The Racket last night and conveys a personal message, narrating the self-destructive cycle that accompanies the struggle of a deteriorating state of mind. The “violent” imagery delivered through emotive lyricism complements the instrumental exploration of devastating soundscapes in the quintet’s first single back after their acclaimed debut.

HEAVENSGATE will headline a sold out Cactus Room in Melbourne this Saturday July 8 supported by Outsider, Diesect and Body Prison. The intimate gathering, presented by Destroy All Lines and Greyscale Records, celebrates the release of ‘AND ALL I LOVED, I LOVED ALONE’ released earlier this year.
