lynch mob -Babylon

When it comes to George Lynch, it is always a perfectly pitched smooth guitar. This is the case of “Babylon”, the latest album of Lynch Mob.

“Erase” sets the beginning of the new era of Lynch Mob that once called its disbandment, but Lynch changed his mind. By the way, the intro of this song is one example of the perfect-pitched smooth guitar. As soon as you hear the voice of Gabriel Colón, it reminds us of the good classic AOR. Drummer Jimmy D’Anda joins with the right timing and the best fills. Finally, bassist Jaron Gulino just flows around the melody. The quartet creates a perfect opener song that will introduce a crunchy and organic album that can be easily heard in just one session with no interruption.

After “The Brotherhood” (2017), the guitarist came back with a straightforward polished gem album. You can hear this in “How You Fall”, which reminds us of a lot of Heavy Metal classic bands and even Dokken.

“The Synner” is another great track. The grooves, the harmonies and the melody charge the listener with various cool emotions. The Official Music Video helps to enhance the vibes as it is a concert with this new line-up that in this track can be proud of their chemistry, even though they are one year together. Luckily, they have confirmed a tour.

With a slightly new vibe with songs like “I´m Ready”, this record is meant to hear it again and again, because you will be able to discover the hidden layers. Be immerse of this catchy production and as the lyrics says, it can get you to a point where you will say “It’s in my blood you’ll never erase”.

This album contains melancholic songs like “Millions Miles Away” or “Let It Go” that have no relation to the album title. Even the lyrics of the song “Babylon” do not make sense. It was difficult to find the connection, but is as simple as Lynch chose it because he considers cool the background of the ancient city.

It is hard to believe that Lynch is already 69 years. The guitarist put the best of his experience in Hard Rock, Heavy Metal and Blues. Join the adventures of a wicked American who is once more is recording his trademark guitar.
