Aussie Industrial Titans, Our Last Enemy will release their new EP ‘As Within So Without’ on September 22 .
New Single out today, Hex Design shows Our Last Enemy pulling further away from their contemporaries by showing an inclination to incorporate Southern and Groove metal into their usual industrial arsenal of sound. The track is filled with crunchy guitars, big bass, groove filled rhythms and enough catchy vocal hooks to hang a dead body on.
At first listen, this comes across as Our Last Enemy stepping from behind the shadows to show a lighter side of themselves. On second listen, they reveal themselves to be just as dark when well lit.
Frontman Oli says of the track; ”Hex Design is another curve ball for our sound, the first track to include an acoustic slide guitar! It’s still a super heavy track, but with a twist. We consider it the party track on the record…
if the party was at Halloween”

Our Last Enemy were due to open for Swedish titans, Avatar in Sydney last month but days before the show, their guitarist Wade Norris fell and broke his arm, ruling them out of the show. He is currently in. rehabilitation and it’s looking promising that he will be healthy enough for the bands upcoming tour dates.
Wade adds, ‘I have so far avoided needing to go under the knife, so now is just a waiting game to able to get back on stage’
