Progressive melodic death metal unit Aversed featuring Allegaeon, Unflesh members premiere “Death Lullaby” single

Boston-based progressive melodic death metallers Aversed have been on a roll ever since their well-received 2021 album, Impermanent, was released. First, the band tracked and recorded a live-in-the-studio EP running through several songs on the album. Earlier this spring the band added new vocalist Sarah Hartman to the fold and dropped an ambitious single called “Every Hill A Tomb” and followed that with a bit of touring.

In June the band hit the road for a ten-day run hitting multiple cities in four states. Today they’re excited to launch their latest single, “Death Lullaby” at Metal Injection. Later this winter, the band is set to record their second album at a studio in Vermont. They are in currently in the process of finalizing the writing of the album in order to hit that firmly set plan. Stay tuned for more news and music from Aversed in 2023!

The band comments: “Humans have a universal language: violence. It’s the only solution we consistently turn to in order to solve even our most basic problems. Death Lullaby serves as an ode to this natural state of affairs. While all of us aspire to it, universal peace is a concept that is hard to comprehend. We need violence to comfort us and lull us to sleep each night because that is what we know. The beauty of being a metal musician and a fan is that we have an outlet to release this explosion of violent feelings within each of us.”

Alongside today’s launch of “Death Lullaby”, the band partnered with Bone Up Brewing Company in Massachusetts to launch a delicious Death Lullaby IPA . New limited edition Aversed merch featuring the cover art for “Death Lullaby” is now available on Bandcamp as well.
