Ratking reveal hliarious videoclip for ‘Panic Station’ single off upcoming ‘Nervous Nature’ EP

Ratking

If you’ve ever endured an anxiety or panic attack – you will know that it SUCKS. Perth’s Ratking are today tackling that issue with the video for their single ‘Panic Station‘. The single dropped late last month and it’s been getting love from all over – premiering on Short Fast Loud on triple j and copping love from blogs, radio and podcasts all over.

They also announced their EP Nervous Nature will be out on Friday June 17th (with vinyl to arrive later on in 2022), released via Collision Course/MGM Distribution. Digital and Physical copies can be pre-ordered/pre-saved NOW at https://ffm.to/nervousnature.

Ratking vocalist AJ Teo says that “Much like the song, the video for Panic Station focuses on anxieties and how we react to them. We chose an anxiety each (Tom with claustrophobia, Nic with work anxiety, AJ with phone anxiety and Josh with his own headspace) and did our best to portray it on the screen. We initially had the idea to properly put ourselves in incredibly anxiety inducing situations (Doing open mic stand up, burying ourselves alive with a camera etc, but realised that that would be way too hectic so we decided with the safety of a green screen instead!” Fair call. That sounds terrible.

New EP Nervous Nature is a culmination of all things Ratking, with production duties handled by Sam Bassal of Ocean Grove, the record is a reflection of themselves both lyrically and musically. Focussing on self growth, anxiety, depression and self love. Unapologetically truthful and pensive.
