RinRin welcomes the next chapter with quirky new single “PRN”

RinRin

Perth-based alternative rock rising star RinRin welcomes listeners into her dystopian world with new single PRN.

2024 introduced a new era for RinRin, and PRN begins the fresh new narrative, and the first in a string of fantasy-fuelled releases. PRN explores the dystopian and fictional story of Rin, based on real life. A multiverse exists where ‘variants’ of RinRin reside in alternate worlds, leading different lives that reflect real feelings.

In PRN, produced, mixed and mastered with Chris Lalic of Windwaker, RinRin is a dystopian being who finds themselves at their lowest – unhinged and overtaken by resentment and anger, existing in a psychiatric ward confined from the outside. In this universe, Rin escapes the ward and vows to hunt down and put an end to others of her kind to put them out of their misery as a twisted way to help them. This version of RinRin explores mental health, coping mechanisms and healing.

RinRin is the musical project of singer-songwriter and guitarist Qarin Hipe. Taking cues from luminaries BABYMETAL, Poppy, and Bring Me The Horizon, RinRin creates her own unique brand of pop-punk and metal that expounds infectious energy.

No stranger to the live stage, RinRin has sold-out headline shows across Australia and supported the likes of Windwaker, RedHook, ReliqaCaskets (UK), The Home Team (US), The Plot In You (USA), Erra (USA) and more. In April of this year, RinRin toured China supporting Walk Off The Earth’s 6-city arena tour, charming her new-found fans with her charismatic pop/rockstar aura. RinRin is represented by Destroy All Lines for Australia and New Zealand, and Triumph Music for China and Japan.

With a fierce passion and dedication to mastering her craft, RinRin has soared to great heights off the back of her intricate guitar work and impressive songwriting abilities. For two years in a row, RinRin won the WAM award for Best Heavy/Metal Song of the Year for Guns and Grenades (2023) and Miss Miserable (2024) and was runner-up overall for the Best Song of the Year award in 2023. RinRin’s catalogue has been embraced by streaming giants Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer and her singles have received love from Australian radio stations triple j, triple j Unearthed, Double J and FBi to name a few.

With an undeniable sense of direction, RinRin is ready to play her powerful brand of pop punk wherever it will take her. PRN is available and streaming everywhere now.
