SickWalt’s Heart of a Buffalo beats strong with new single

SickWalt

Flexing his songwriting and vocal skills, SickWalt releases his first-ever rock ballad ‘Heart of a Buffalo‘, today. The ballad is the second single to be released off his latest EP, MAXXED – a dedication to honour band co-creator, Max Capshaw.

Crediting Capshaw with bringing out his vocals on the upcoming release, “Sick” Walt Novak waxes lyrically about his connections to the land and growing up around the Burroughs of New York City.  “‘I’m just a City Kid, with a Heart of a Buffalo…’ means that I roam my New York city streets with the same Freedom, Nobility, and Strength that the Great American Buffalo roams the prairies of our country,” Novak expresses, “the phrase originated from our respect for the Spirituality of the American Indian. The Indian’s Divine connection to the Land and to the Animals that lived off it. Max and I always tried to instil those beliefs into our daily lives. Bringing ‘city life’ and ‘life on the open plain’ together.”

SickWalt, an unapologetic, positive high-energy, in your face, rock ‘n’ roll band from Astoria, Queens, New York City, have made their presence felt all over the major clubs in NYC. They follow up the release of ‘Heart of a Buffalo’ with the release of the EP 27th of March.
