Christmas is the time of year when shopping malls insist on playing those horribly annoying carols…. sometimes more than a month before the big day. Hearing Mariah Careys’s, All I Want for Christmas repeatedly is enough to make any blackened heart gag. I don’t know if it’s all part of a grand brainwashing scheme to make you spend more time browsing. Or maybe it’s some sinister ulterior motive to make online shopping much more appealing. I kind of feel sorry for the poor shop attendants who are stuck listening to the same songs on repeat, day in and day out. It’s enough to drive anyone mad. Fortunately, in the realm of metal, there are thankfully some dark alternatives.
