The Black Armada reforms alongside Nick Oliveri to bring heavy groove to Aftermath

The Black Armada

Heavy Groove Rock. This defines The Black Armada, back for it’s second incantation in late 2022. A sound forged with monstrous riff-driven guitars, laden with fuzz and bite. Thunderous Bonham-esque drums, meshed with heavy groove bass and sky-breaking vocals soaring beyond. They bring a modern Groove-Stoner Rock take together with heavy pillars of Sabb-Zepp backbone into the current music scene.

After a busy introduction to the Australian music scene with supports in the way of Earthless, multiple tour supports with The Tea Party, 1000mods (GR), John Garcia (Kyuss) and being the backing band for Nick Oliveri (Kyuss/QOTSA) around the country, The Black Armada have achieved a lot in a very short time.

The Black Armada have just finished recording a new group of killer tracks with first single ‘Up and Down Under’, featuring QOTSA’s Nick Oliveri, aired on Kyuss World Radio to rave reviews.

With a new lineup featuring members of Transvaal Diamond Syndicate, Rinser, The Hunkz, Blue Savannah Underworld and Handful of Helmet, The Black Armada are ready to jump into the fray in 2023.

Appearing at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse on the Gold Coast on Saturday 05 November alongside Stoner (Kyuss/QOTSA), Mario Lalli and the Rubber Snake Charmers, The Black Swamp, Endless Valley, Sons of Zoku, Full Tone Generator, Emu, Sunday Sesh and Zooid.
