Since forming in 2007,ย THE MODERN AGE SLAVERYย have triumphed over their challenges. After the release of their demo, which was nominated “Demo of the Month” inย Rock Hardย Germany, they got signed toย Napalm Recordsย for the release of the debut albumย “Damned To Blindness”ย (2008). Thanks to significant acclaim from the metal world,ย THE MODERN AGE SLAVERYย extensively toured across Europe both as headliners and as support act, joining the “Evisceration Plague Tour” featuringย Cannibal Corpse,ย Dying Fetusย &ย Obscuraย and the “Doomsday X Tour” featuringย Malevolent Creationย andย Vomitory.ย The band also played selected shows withย Fleshgod Apocalypse,ย Sepultura,ย Decapitated,ย Suicide Silenceย and more.
The release of the second albumย “Requiem For Us All”ย (2013) pushed their death metal war machine one step forward again, and brought the band on the road along withย Gorgoroth,ย Vital Remains,ย Hypocrisy,ย plus many gigs on national soil. Four years laterย THE MODERN AGE SLAVERYย released their third full-lengthย “Stygian”ย after a line-up change, which signed a new chapter in the sound of the band, introducing black metal riffing, keyboards, atmospheres and orchestral elements. Released byย Innerstrength Records,ย the album brought the band on tour around Europe, supportingย Vaderย andย Entombed A.D. in their “European Chaos Tour” 2018, as well as sharing stages withย Jinjer,ย Decapitated,ย Incite, and recently they hit the road again, having played in big festivals withย Slipknot,ย Sabatonย andย Behemoth.
The year of the corona-pandemic, when the music world was forced into a standstill,ย THE MODERN AGE SLAVERYย focused on the writing and recording of their new piece of art,ย “1901 | The First Mother”ย which will see the light of the day in May 2023 onย Fireflash Records.
