Hardly any hard rock act has seen a rise recent years like the all-female rock band THUNDERMOTHER. Following their latest, chart-breaking album Heat Wave (2020), that has been praised by both fans and international music press alike, August 19, 2022 will see the Swedish rock ladies release their hotly anticipated, new album, Black And Gold, via AFM Records!

Twelve adrenaline-fuelled songs will take you on a wild, high voltage and powerful ride into the filthy yet catchy rock ‘n’ roll sound THUNDERMOTHER is known and loved for: Creating infectious party rock songs with an irresistible feelgood appeal! Without any doubt, Black And Gold looks set to be a real landmark and next level for the charismatic, authentic and ambitious band, as previously-released, first singles “I Don’t Know You” and “Watch Out” already proved. Now, THUNDERMOTHER has shared a warm-hearting lyric video created by drummer Emlee Johansson, featuring never-before-seen footage of the band members and their childhoods, for new album single “Hot Mess“!

“Hot Mess, is about finding that one person that really sees you and accepts you for who you are, flaws and all.” Vocalist Guernica Mancini comments.

“About the video, we couldn’t be more happy! Emlee has really been able to capture the emotions of the song in this beautifully executed video, from the melancholy of being away from someone you love and wanting to find that love and then to finally having it. Emlee’s talent goes beyond and we are so grateful that we are fortunate enough to have such a multi-talented, creative force in our tribe. We love this video, and we love her!!

Emlee adds: “To my band, thank you for believing in me as a video director/producer and trusting me with my vision. To my sisters, thank you for lending me the equipment necessary to make this video happen and last but not least, thank you Petter for always being my rock, coach and problem solver, without your support I would have lost my mind!”
