Texas goth rockers TEMPLE OF LOVE are proud to announce the premiere of their debut single “Bury Me Standing,” taken from their upcoming debut album due out later this year.
Vocalist Suzy Bravo comments: “The song is an ode to those living on the fringes of society, such as touring bands, artists, and poets. The songs is about the freedom of making choices (whether good and bad), the ultimate freedom of living true to your own fundamental principles for the sake of your art.”
Formed in Austin in 2018, TEMPLE OF LOVE was originally meant to be a recording project of husband-and-wife duo Steve Colca (Destroyer of Light) and Suzy Bravo (Witchcryer) before taking a life of its own after a 2019 demo garnered attention amongst the Central Texas scene.
While writing and recording was delayed due to the pandemic and a few line-up changes, TEMPLE OF LOVE is finally in the studio crafting their seven-track debut album with Roky Moon (Gwar, The Sword) at King Electric Studios in Austin.
“Bury Me Standing” is a an enchanting dirge powered by Bravo’s powerful, bluesy, vocals, channeling Southern Gothic’s penchant for the dark. Recorded by Moon and mastered by Alberto De Icaza (Clutch, King Crimson), the song officially introduces the mysticism of TEMPLE OF LOVE.
