Anyone who believes that “Classic Rock” always has to have a dusty or stale image hasn’t heard of AIRSTRIKE. The band, which was founded in 2017, impressively shows on their debut album “Red Born Reborn” that cool rock music can also go a long way in 2023 and definitely be fun. After the four guys struck a more contemplative tone with the emotional rock ballad “Beyond The Way”, the new anthem “Tutankhamun” again scores with cool Rock’n’Roll stuff.
The band describes the song: “Tutankhamun” combines various of our influences from American heavy and stadium rock of the 70s and 80s, combined with a chorus that we find very enjoyable to listen to. Where the lyrical journey is going can already be guessed from the title of the track. The story about the Egyptian king begins with “In an ancient time” and of course does not only refer to ancient history. Take off your dancing shoes friends, it’s going to be groovy cause “we used to like it, what a place to be”.
