The Hanseatic city of Hamburg has been known for decades for a strong scene, especially when it comes to rock music and heavy metal. Currently, BLACK WATER COMPLEX, another band from the “Waterkant”, is ready to get started with strong songs and that very special Hanseatic charm.
BLACK WATER COMPLEX was founded in 2019 as a studio project by producer and mastermind Schrödey (TEMPLE OF THE ABSURD, WARPATH, HOLY MOSES, JOACHIM WITT, TORFROCK, BLITZKRIEG, GORILLA MONSOON, HARDBONE and many more), based in the Hamburg Absurd Studios. BLACK WATER COMPLEX has now developed from a project into a permanent band, whose members are known from groups such as HOLY MOSES, TEMPLE OF THE ABSURD, LACRIMOSA, WARPATH, PHILIAE and HARDBONE (whose singer Tim Dammann is currently on the microphone).
With their unique sound, which is stylistically somewhere between metal, grunge, rock ‘n’ roll and goth, BWC combines several decades of music history. The three tracks “Black Water”, “The Bird” and “Dr. Magneto” provide a first insight into the broad spectrum of BWC. The band is currently releasing the video for the single “Evil Twin” as a further sample.
