Crosson describes themselves as a new rock n’ roll thunder from the land down under and this live album Live at the Orpheum backs up their statement.
The first track of this live album Banished is a great opening, though it’s not a song it has an eerie voiceover warning the audience of what’s in store, leading into a rock anthem Everyone’s a Star. A very catchy song that makes you want to sing along and nod your head.
Following a great opening Crosson does a rock/blues cover of We Will Rock You. They add their own flavour to a great classic that would make Queen proud. They also do a rock cover of Money, Money, Money which is an improvement on the original.
Crosson is a band that is better live than in the studio which is very rare. While listening to this live album I wanted to there in the crowd singing along. With great lyrics that are easy to sing along to that are uplifting and real.
The song that stuck out for me was Everyone’s a Star. It was such a great opening to a concert and made me want to keep listening to the rest of the album. The chorus makes you wanna sing along and feel good.
Recommended for fans of punk, metal and rock.
