Dark Heart Releases Captivating Lyric Video for “Night Won’t Let Me Go”

Dark Heart

Iconic heavy metal band Dark Heart is thrilled to announce the release of their latest lyric video for the song Night Won’t Let Me Go, taken from their forthcoming album Out Of The Shadows, set for worldwide release on July 21, 2024.

The band describes the track as being based on “a Dystopian society who live in a perpetual virtual reality, locked in a world they can’t escape.” The lyric video features engaging visuals that continually evolve, enhancing the song’s powerful narrative and drawing the viewer into its dystopian world.

Formed in the early eighties, Dark Heart made a significant impact with their debut album Shadows of the Night released on the Roadrunner label in 1984. Despite a series of successful live shows, the band disbanded as the NWOBHM era drew to a close, leaving a legacy that developed into a cult following over the years.

Fast forward to 2024, and Dark Heart is back, ready to reclaim their place in the heavy metal scene. Founding member Alan Clark, who transitioned from guitar to vocals and established himself with Change of Heart, has been instrumental in the band’s revival. Joined by Nick Catterick, a guitarist known for his fiery and inventive style, the pair have created a sound that, while rooted in classic metal and hard rock, reflects a mature evolution in their songwriting craft.

The new album has been expertly produced and mixed by Pete Newdeck, known for his work with Edens Curse, Grim Reaper, Paul Dianno’s Killers, Midnite City, and Vega. Pete also contributes on drums and backing vocals, completing a top-class rhythm section alongside bassist Josh ‘Tabbie’ Williams from Midnite City and Life Of A Hero.

Alan Clark shares, “After years of being asked to make a new album, I finally decided to commence work on new material. The style has moved away from NWOBHM to bring the sound up to date and reflect our maturity in songwriting.”

Dark Heart invites fans old and new to experience the powerful visuals and storytelling of Night Won’t Let Me Go. The lyric video is now available on YouTube and other streaming platforms.
