Three months ago I had never heard of Inhailed once in my metal life. Now that I have I’m going to make sure as many people do as well! Inhailed is from the Sunshine Coast. They currently are a 4 piece heavy fucking metal band. The only other thing you need to know about them is their unbelievable new album DEMON WITHIN.
Fuck me please listen to this album in full.
It will blow you away. It’s ultra-heavy. It’s earth-shattering. It’s aggressive as a f…. Slayer album! Do I need to say any more?
Demon Within packs in 10 devil-worshipping, incredibly heavy, insane drumming, metal god guitar playing, death growling, ferocious tracks. I’m serious. It’s that good. If this review comes across as if it’s written by a total fanboy I’m glad because this album is from an AUSTRALIAN band and that gets me excited.
Ask Inhailed if they are a death metal band they will tell you they just make heavy aggressive music. They refer to it as plain metal and by dear god the metal is pure. It doesn’t matter which track you play, each song is awesomely crafted out of aggression beyond words.
The hissed growled vocals, the old-school Slayer/ Exodus guitar riffs, and solos, and the mental drumming will change your mind on how you might view the Australian metal scene! I might be a bit biased as this form of metal is pretty close to my favorite style but play track 4 “Reborn” and you will see. Lord will you see! That riff, that screaming guitar that for a brief second sound like Jeff Hanneman is back, that drum kick that cuts through the bass guitar like little pops of gunfire… Wow.
The thing I really love about DEMON WITHIN is that each song has its own little moment of pure headbanging violence. Such as moments like these where original guitarist Wez shreds–Wez shreds- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xu-lXSGF5mI and when Rob Stanely owns- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5cnwPWzjgo. So cool.
Anyway back to the album “Execute the Damned”, “Venom of the Gods” and “Demon Within” are some of the nicely titled tracks that need to be blasted but for me, I can’t go past “Reborn” I must have listened to it 30 times now! It’s just one of those types of metal songs that gives you THAT feeling.
Demon Within will please most metal fans and especially those that love the aggressive attack on the senses. Inhailed is a force to be reckoned with and I’m expecting them to go on to bigger and better things so you better go and see them up close and personal before you need a backstage pass to meet them!
