Flaming Wrekage – Cathedral of Bones (Album Review)

Flaming Wrekage

Cathedral of Bones is the third release of Sydney’s Flaming Wrekage, and it does not disappoint. From start to finish it delivers punch after soaring punch, every component flowing together throughout each track to bring us the blender soundscape of Thrash and Death metal.

There is an amazing tension in the vocals that are clear but harsh.

The guitars range from the operatic to the fast and distorted, with drumming to match.

Each track is of such quality that I find it hard to pick my favourites but if I had to choose, look out for the opener Skeletons of Giants, Running Blind, Hell to Pay, and the last track Sin Survives. This is an album from a band at the top of its game, and I can’t wait to see what Flaming Wrekage do next.
