INTERVIEW: Stevie D of Buckcherry talks Australia tour and new music

Interview by Andrew Massie

BUCKCHERRY

Multi-Platinum selling rockers BUCKCHERRY return to Australia armed with their latest album “Hellbound”. Buckcherry staunchly uphold the commandments of rock music with an arsenal of anthems primed to explode on impact live on stage and teeming with riotous energy, sexy swagger, and primal chops intact.  It’s something that the boys have done since day one, but it’s more necessary now than ever. With an array of classic such ‘Lit Up’, ‘Crazy Bit*h’, ‘Sorry’, ‘Say F*ck It’ and ‘All Night Long’, Buckcherry are ready to once again party down under.

We catch guitarist Stevie D during recording of their next album to talk about the tour, looking back on their last album “Hellbound” and much more.

On getting back into the studio to begin work on the next album recording:

We did the whole record cycle for Hellbound and now it’s time to take a break and let everyone catch their breath. It’s time to make the new album and still stay away from the public eye for a little bit and then hit it again in March and come out with a bang, we’ll announce in December what that tour is.

On what to expect in Australia:

We have to do the classics, we have to do Lit Up, Sorry. There’s ones that connect live, Crazy Bitch obviously, there’s something for every era like Ridin’ was a big hit here so we have to play that but I think the Australian audience will be pleased we bring the rock every night.
