Loner - Warning Signs

The recent single from Happy Ending is truly remarkable. The first track “Loner” opens with a powerful groove riff, reminiscent of bands like Black Sabbath and Type O Negative. The heavy guitars, bombastic drums, and deep washboard bass sound create a perfect blend of aggressive, groovy metal. What sets the band apart is the vocal aggression, which instantly brings to mind the hardcore and punk bands of the 80s – such as Paradox UK, Blitzkrieg, and a number of others which come to mind. It adds an extra layer of intensity and energy. Moving on to the second track, “Inferior,” Happy Ending continues to deliver the same fierce sound. The whole release is nothing short of spectacular, and I have to say, it’s the best metal/rock production I’ve heard in decades. One particular aspect of the mix that stands out is the massive low-end curve. It’s incredibly difficult to replicate this effect using modern technology, and Happy Ending has managed it exceptionally well.

Overall, I give this release a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. I hope the production of this release will live as an example to other artists. Happy Ending has created something truly special.
