Master Boot Record – Personal Computer

Created by the self-declared CPU that Electronica Victor Love, the ever-prolific Master Boot Record delivers its fifteenth opus in six years. The ridiculous extremity that is Personal Computer.

Take full-on electronica and mix with it post-metal rhythms, Personal Computer is completely bonkers in its over-the-top presentation. The keyboards are all the way up there, that veer wildly from seventies-style prog to space rock, classical, and twentieth-century insanity.

Until you feast your ears on it Master Boot Record is metal synth-style without all the weird connotations that come with it, this is music live-streamed via his channel and then released as an album once enough material is available. The result is dynamic spontaneous and immediate, at times it is a little uneven, but each track is virtually a life-on-off recording.

You are merely a traveler on a cray video game-style ride that is loud, bombastic, and all about impact.

The master of counterculture Victor is a literal hacker from within, Taking classical elements and combining them with death/thrash metal sensibilities’ the organic nature of the compositions is offset by the pure mechanical delivery and the result of one very busy mind. This is extreme music that earache touched on in the mid-nineties taken to its zenith without traditional instruments. The barcoded tracks are epic, each direction exhausted in pursuing the depths of creativity.

Unexpected, diverse, and at times thrilling, you do not know what you are going to hear next. Beyond simple description, Personal Computer needs to be heard to be believed!
