Chud - Ominous

Let me put it this way to you if Nailbomb, Godflesh, Brujeria, and dodheimsgard had a stinking mass orgy in a swimming pool full of rotting Carcass’s, entrails, and pickled organs and somehow managed to produce some sort of demented offspring from this disgusting sex-fest I’m pretty sure on the birth certificate the name of this mutant child would be Chud!

This album is heavy as fuck, sounding more like it was recorded in a sewer using power tools rather than in the studio using a sludgy distorted bass, guitars, and machinery like drums, but man does it work, and I mean work really well. A.c.t based members Whisky jones on guitar/vocals, Ahzi on bass, and Monstero on the drums bring you a mixture of down-tuned industrial doom/death that would shake the very ground to the core that would have corpses shaking their limbs like a sick puppet show and make any fan of the darker side proud as punch. Whisky’s vocal range is just magic, from guttural growling to ear-piercing screams to a pitched and toned groan which just blends so well together with the bass-heavy doom musical style.

It’s a weird morbid feeling i got from this album, are just reeks of death, foggy graveyards, and some psychopath roaming the streets waiting to mess up some unsuspecting victim up with a machete to the head.

This album has 14 songs of pure evil running for just over 39 minutes, each song has its own distinctive edge averaging around 2:30 minutes, meaning all 14 songs never get boring and I easily started the album from scratch over and over again finding another sick twist in this sick journey of brutality, its definitely not everyone’s cup of rancid eyeballs, but it will be loved by those who enjoy there metal nasty, heavy and ugly if that’s the case “Chud” is a must-buy for you for sure, and ill be telling my murderous necrophiliac serial killer mates that I’ve found the perfect evil soundtrack to their sweaty nights on the prowl!
