Eternal Rest – Prophecy (Album Review)

Eternal Rest - Prophecy

Prophetic is an apt title to this venomous album, the ferocity that is unleashed from the four-piece hailing from Hell also known as Brisbane, Australia. Blistering guitar riffs that slice to the jugular in an unrelenting feast of crazed passion, vocals that strangle and fail to release, manic drum blasts and bass that pounds into the very existence of chosen who have found this rare gem and braved it to listen in its entirety.

Eternal Rest dares to push the boundaries of ferocity with their technically proficient brand of brutal death metal, forging themselves into realms that many Australian bands have yet to reach, I can only imagine the live show as being punishing and ruthless. Leaving the public battered and bruised, but completely satisfied.

I can only hope that Eternal Rest gets the recognition that they deserve, placing Australian Death Metal on the international radar and smacking them upside the head, saying G’day.
