Revoid share vulnerable new single “Everything” and announce ‘Evergrey’ EP

Revoid

Brisbane metalcore act Revoid share an ode to their former selves on new single, Everything, and have announced it as the leading single from their upcoming EP, Evergreyout everywhere Friday July 19.

The track is a vulnerable offering from the perspective of vocalist Dale Dudeson, a love letter of sorts to every version of himself that has paved the way to where he is now. Everything acknowledges that even through the darker points, each version played an important role. “‘Everything’ is filled with regret and guilt, dedicated to every version of myself,” tells Dudeson.

“I was never the best person, even for myself, but every version of me had purpose and importance and value, and through everything I’ve done and all I’ve been through, I would be lying if I said I don’t miss certain versions sometimes. Growth has never been an easy thing, so I believe it’s important to honour what I was, and what sacrifices it took to get here.”

The new track is mixed by long time collaborator Mark Williamson (Inertia) and mastered by Kris Crummett (Sleeping With Sirens) with a music video by Colin Jeffs of Ten of Swords Media (Diamond Construct, Make Them Suffer)

Revoid is Dale Dudeson (vocals), Jack Carey (guitar), Josh ‘Krusty’ Gudgeon (guitar) and Daniel Long (drums). Recently celebrating two years since their fierce debut EP Sleepless Stillsaw its release, the quartet are ready to welcome in the next chapter with ‘Evergrey’.

‘Sleepless Still’ was released in April of 2022 and launched to a packed-out room in their hometown. Singles Gloomsayer, Noise In My Head and Ghost helped to establish Revoid as one of Brisbane’s premier metalcore acts, collecting hundreds of thousands of streams and landing the band a cover spot on Spotify’s Homegrown + Heavy editorial playlist. The EP was launched on vinyl in collaboration with Anti Vinyl Vinyl Club, where it quickly sold out.

Since forming, the four-piece have played shows with Dayseeker (US), StepsonVoid of Vision, Bloom, Sienna Skies, alt., Future Static and more as well as completing their first ever headline tour across the East Coast late last year. Revoid will play Tomcat in Brisbane next Friday May 31 main supporting The Last Martyr, tickets on sale now via Oztix.

Everything is out now on all streaming platforms. The ‘Evergrey’ EP will be available Friday July 19.
