Slaves of Kali – Uncharted Trails (Album Review)

Release Date: October 22nd 2021 - Independent

Slaves Of Kali - Unchartered Trails

Tuned melodies, associated with chugged riffs, and very groovy sequences that you can’t help but move your head to that’s what Slaves of Kali’s latest release are all about, and it’s untitled “Uncharted Trails”.

Taking elements from many different approaches to metal, we find ourselves listening to an album whose core purpose is to make the pit complete mayhem, where people relentlessly bang their heads and run in circles.

The strength of this band is being able to make its music epic and groovy at the same time, through jerky rhythm patterns, as well as tasty leads and melodies that make you want to clench your fist for glory, before throwing in thrashy riffs and mosh parts.

The guitar tones are tweaked to have their own identities, and they make for a perfect heavy and chugging sound, that suits well all the different parts: tremolos, breakdowns, chugged riffs as well as alternate picked riffs.

And there’s not much to say about production as it’s in the same spirit as the music.
