WACKEN OPEN AIR Launches New Magazine “The Bullhead”

THE BULLHEADThe first issue of “The Bullhead”, the new magazine of Wacken Open Air, is out now. 36 pages filled with information about the festival, exclusive headliner interviews, extraordinary reports and special insights behind the scenes of W:O:A – free, bilingual and digital.

• In the first edition, festival managers Holger Hübner and Thomas Jensen look back on the W:O:A 2023, which was exceptional in every aspect

“The Bullhead” is written not only for the festival’s international community, but for all heavy metal fans – including those who have not yet made it to the Wacken field in northern Germany.

Festival founder Thomas Jensen: “The Bullhead” is named after the festival’s internationally known landmark, the massive metal sculpture which is mounted high up between our two main stages. Our new magazine is published in German as well as in English and is therefore a real added value for all our fans worldwide!”

Editorial director Andrea Leim adds: “The Bullhead” is your free AAA pass to the world of the Wacken Open Air. It nicely shortens the wait until the next W:O:A.”

Wacken Open Air is the largest heavy metal festival in the world. Starting with 800 visitors in 1990, nowdays 85,000 fans from all over the world travel to Wacken every year, turning the small village in Schleswig-Holstein into the center of the festival scene for several days. The organizing WOA Festival GmbH is connected to a broad network including band management, the Wacken Foundation, tour booking, music publishing, metal travel, merchandising distribution and ticketing. In cooperation with partners, this results in creative solutions and ideas that revolutionize the festival experience, enable technical innovations and produce extraordinary event concepts. Wacken Open Air 2024 will take place from July 31 to August 3, 2024.
