Armoured Earth from Melbourne is a 5 piece metal band with a hardcore sound. “Your Own Hell” is a killer EP produced by the lads, featuring 6 tracks – but as the old saying, it ain’t about the quantity when the quality is there, and this EP definitely has the quality.
Armoured Earth are an up and coming band and the EP Your Own Hell has an honest feeling to it, unpretentious, you can hear that they aren’t just trying to make up the numbers but are standing up on their own in the steadily grown Australian metal scene.
The songs are strong – a heavy guitar sound with killer solos. The vocals have a great mix of aggressive and clean styles, rounding out the sound with a solid backline of the bass guitar and drumming, with tight fills and pounding double kicks.

Armoured Earth has written some imaginative riffs and shows that they have taken time in writing the songs. Each song takes on its own personality. While being a metal album they aren’t afraid to slow down, as in the song Broken Battlefields.
This is a fantastic EP and Armoured Earth have a great future ahead of them, can’t wait to hear what they produce in a full-length album, and hopefully see them live one day.
