BLIND THE EYE‘s full length debut hit stores last Friday. The album is called “The Lion Of Lions” and shows the band around guitarist Ramiur Sekh from their self-confident side. Sometimes the Portuguese captivate with brute force, sometimes they shine with catchy melodies and refrains. BLIND THE EYE can always keep up with the big names in the scene and inspire with fresh sound and tons of hits. Out now, the album produced by Bruno Silva was released via EL PUERTO RECORDS and to celebrate, the band have also released their second song “Aquilifer“. The accompanying video was produced by Carlos Guimarães.
The band comments on the title as follows: Aquilifer embodies the supreme predator above all below anyone…An icon of supremacy, a beacon where those with higher purposes can find guidance. Nothing and no one can overcome such symbolism…
In addition, the band has to announce a new member. Singer Dário Rosa left the band during the recording process, but they immediately found a replacement for the recordings in Ricardo Pereira (MOONSHADE). A new singer has already been found in Rui Antunes, who now completes the line-up of BLIND THE EYE.
When you think of music from Portugal, Melodic Death Metal doesn’t necessarily come to mind. But the band BLIND THE EYE, founded in Santa Maria da Feira in 2016, presents on their first full-length album “The Lion Of Lions” a kind of brilliant melodic death metal, which no longer has to be a purely Scandinavian domain. So it’s time for a breath of fresh air in this genre. With their fine sense for anthems and their powerful sound, the quintet was able to leave their first mark with the EP “Tripolarity” in 2020. EL PUERTO RECORDS recognizes the talent of the Portuguese and is going to release the new album on September 30th, 2022.
