Mexicans CATHARTIC presented their debut album, “Through the Abysmal Gates of Subconscious”. The band is relatively young. They started their creation in 2019.
The album came out very conceptual. The beautiful cover immediately attracts attention, which awakens the work of your subconscious! The gloominess of the LP is intertwined with a sense of loneliness and inevitability.
This work cannot be attributed entirely to classic death metal. A mixture of different styles and a distinct melody adorns the entire album. I liked the track “Carried by the Wings of Death”, where a very cool guitar part sounds.
Plus, to the karma of CATHARTIC – their constant technicality. The album includes a bonus track, an all-instrumental rendition of “Obliteration”. Excellent album. We recommend listening to it!
