Psykopath – Primal Instinct (EP Review)

EP full of fury and good old school thrash

When giving play to the first song of Primal Instinct, I feel the strong influence of Metallica, showing an aggressive and scandalous attitude making it clear that the thrash is still alive. From the cold city of Bergen in Norway, they make their first official release by the hand of Loyal Bloods Records to hit us with these 3 themes:

Lethal introspect: Ivan Taule has a powerful voice and proves it very well. The drums do their thing giving strength and fury to the song. The guitar shows strong and catchy riffs and the bass of Kristian Brynjulfsen does his thing in a hot song.

Armageddon: Start with a drum that reverberates guided by Mats Hovden blowing our heads, again shows the power of the voice and silences that leave you wanting more.

Primal Instinct: For a great closing, Johannes Andreassen and Viljar Brunvoll show off their skills with guitar solos, powerful riffs and a harmony that makes us clear why this song is what gives the name to this EP

An excellent selection of themes, placed in the exact order to leave us wanting to continue listening more of this heavy group which stands out from other modern thrash bands. The disc is available digitally, so there are no excuses for not enjoying it.
