Private Function – Whose Line Is It Anyway? (Album Review)

Set the lights for a party in your room – Melbourne rising pub-punkers Private Function are travelling one way, no stops!

This album dives deep into a sea of simplistic fun. You’ll be met with duelling guitars, rolling-thunder drums and dirty punk growls backed by haunting howls, and you will only be rising to the surface for a breath before the next wave hits.

Whose Line Is It Anyway offers a to-the-point comical bundle of jingles with no breaks in between. Their second track ‘Albury-Wodonga’ shines through. Within the first 30 seconds, you may find yourself singing along already with the fruity melodious vocals. Following through with cheeky, face-melting tracks like ‘Static Electricity’ and ‘Black Eye Blues’, these guys don’t beat around the bush. So set the sails for a ride of high energy, taking-the-piss silliness reminiscent of nights with beer-wielding friends at your favourite local, chanting the next rock radio staple.

Private Function are here for a good time with this enchanting punk party glam force of an album – Whose Line Is it Anyway?
