Metralion – Quo Vadis + A Mosh in Brazil (Compilation Review)

METRALION is a Brazilian Thrash Metal band from Rio de Janeiro. This compilation is the first release after three decades of complete silence from METRALION, a thrash band from the 80s-90s. This compilation is a mix between two releases Quo Vadis (1987) and A Mosh In Brazil (1988). The songs stay in the original form so there is no real mixing work involved in this one.

The instrumental work is decent, considering these are early works. So most of the songs lack lyrics except for some verses in half of the music.

The voice of the singer doesn’t make too much difference in the first songs. Interesting is that it’s a compilation of their old works without too much change on it.

It’s not even clear but you can appreciate the small details on compositions like some insane riffs and the drummer’s ability.

For any metal enthusiast who wants to know about the roots of Brazilian thrash metal, this will be good listening. Still, I was expecting more from this, but with ups and downs, the album is just fine. Final opinion about this compilation: give it a chance.
