Herratik has been in the music scene since the late ’90s.

The Sydney band was formerly known as Abortus and this is the band’s fourth studio album. The bands line up has Gooch on lead guitar, Jack – vocals, George – bass and Wader on rhythm guitar…

From the second, the album starts with its soft melodic intro you instantly know this is gonna be some good thrash! The 2nd track ‘enough’ breaks out into the unmistakable thrash drumming and fast-paced in your face thrash metal which sets the tone for the rest of the album.

The song ‘End of Compromise’ grabbed my attention right from the start, with great bass and drum beats that had a hint of hardcore breakdown beats, which turns into a brutal fast-paced tune.

Herratik’s vocalist Jack doesn’t seem to push his voice like a lot of thrash bands, his deep bassy vocals, however, fit right in with the music.

Towards the end of the album, I had become a bit bored with the vocals as they seem to have the same beat, pace, tone and pitch in every other song on the album.

Musically, Herratik is a brilliant thrash band, however, I would like to see Jack playing with his voice a bit more and not so the same.
